Our Story

A clinic built slowly, around the women it serves.

For more than a decade, Datin Dr. Ismaliza Ismail had spent her days listening to women describe concerns that rarely made it into a clinic conversation. Skin that had changed after pregnancy. Pelvic floor weakness that quietly reshaped daily life. Intimate discomfort that felt too private to ask about.

She kept noticing the same gap. There were beauty centres for facials and there were specialist hospitals for major procedures, but very few places sat in between, where a woman could walk in, speak openly, and be looked after by clinicians who genuinely understood her body and her stage of life.

The beginning

In 2018, the first Klinik Amisi opened on Jalan 8/35 in Bandar Baru Bangi. The plan was modest: a small clinic, run entirely by women, offering aesthetic and intimate health care under one roof.

From day one, Dr. Ismaliza set the rule that consultations would come first. No quick upsells, no one-size-fits-all packages. Every treatment plan would start with a doctor sitting down, asking about life stage, expectations and budget, and only then suggesting what was clinically appropriate.

Why an all-female team

Many of the concerns we treat are the kind women hesitate to discuss. Vaginal dryness, urinary leaks, post-natal looseness, stretch marks, weight that will not shift after pregnancy. They are common, but stigma keeps them quiet.

Building an all-female team was not a marketing decision. It was a practical one. When the doctor on the other side of the desk has walked through similar life stages, the questions are easier to ask and the answers land differently. Privacy is preserved by design, not by accident.

"We wanted a place where a woman could finally exhale, ask the question she has been holding in, and trust that the answer would come from someone who understands."

Growing the team and the network

Word travelled, mostly through patients who told their sisters, cousins and friends. The Bangi clinic grew busier and the team grew alongside it. Doctors joined who shared the same belief in consultation-first care, including Dr. Hani Fatin, Dr. Raehan and others, all LCP certified and trained in aesthetic and cosmetic gynaecology.

By 2020, Klinik Amisi was operating as part of the wider Amisi Medical Group. Putrajaya and Shah Alam followed, each chosen because patients were asking for a clinic closer to home. The most recent addition, our Kuala Lumpur branch at Marc Residence on Jalan Pinang, opened in early 2026.

Today and tomorrow

Today, the four pillars we work across, Skin, Body, Pelvic and Intimacy, reflect the conversations we keep having with patients. Together, they cover most of the changes a woman's body goes through from her twenties onwards.

We are not chasing scale for its own sake. We open clinics when our existing patients tell us they need one closer, and we hire doctors when we find clinicians who share our way of working. Everything else, the equipment, the protocols, the training, is chosen to support that core idea: care from women, for women.

The story is still being written. If you are reading this and thinking about your own next step, we would be glad to be part of it.
