What it is
RF Buttock at Klinik Amisi is a non-invasive radiofrequency treatment focused on supporting firmness and skin quality on the buttocks. It is delivered using the Thuzzle platform from GMV Medical Innovation (Italy), with handpieces and settings tailored for the body. It sits within our body pillar as one of four related RF body protocols — RF Tummy, RF Thigh, RF Buttock and RF Arm.
The treatment is needle-free and uses controlled radiofrequency energy to gently warm the deeper layers of the skin on the buttocks. It is typically chosen by patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who prefer a non-invasive option over surgery, and who are looking for skin firmness rather than volume enhancement.
A consultation is required before the first session so our doctor can assess the area, your medical history and any prior procedures, and confirm whether RF Buttock is appropriate.
How it works
Radiofrequency energy is delivered through a handpiece that glides over the skin in a warmed gel medium. The energy heats the deeper dermal layers in a controlled way, typically warming tissue to around 40 to 45 degrees Celsius. Existing collagen fibres respond with an immediate contraction, which can produce a subtle tightening sensation. The warming also triggers the skin’s natural repair response, encouraging fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin over the following weeks and months.
The Thuzzle platform allows the clinician to switch between deeper monopolar and more superficial bipolar modes, and to adjust intensity for your skin and comfort. The temperature is monitored throughout the session.
What to expect
Before your treatment
Your first visit begins with a consultation. We will discuss the area you want to address, medical history, any prior body procedures, any implants and any pregnancies. Please come with the area clean and free of heavy moisturisers or oils.
During the session
You will lie comfortably with the buttocks exposed. Warmed coupling gel is applied and the handpiece is moved in continuous passes across the area. A typical session takes 30 to 45 minutes. Most patients describe the sensation as a comfortable, deep warmth.
After your treatment
The skin may feel warm and look slightly pink for a short time. Use a gentle moisturiser, and broad-spectrum sun protection if the area is exposed. Avoid very hot showers, sauna and intense exercise for the rest of the day. You can return to most normal activities straight after the session.
Recovery and downtime
RF Buttock typically has minimal downtime. Mild warmth or pinkness usually settles within a few hours, and there are no marks or peeling. Improvement in firmness builds gradually over the months following the course as collagen activity continues, and individual results vary. Maintenance sessions are sometimes suggested afterwards.
Who is this for
RF Buttock is typically offered to adults with mild to moderate skin laxity on the buttocks who want a non-invasive supportive treatment, often after weight loss, with age, or alongside body contouring.
You may be a candidate if you have:
- Mild to moderate skin laxity on the buttocks
- Loss of tone or crepey skin after weight loss
- A preference for non-surgical skin firming
- Realistic expectations — RF supports firmness rather than adding volume
- Willingness to commit to a course
- No contraindicating implants or medical conditions
Considerations and contraindications
RF Buttock is generally not recommended for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have a pacemaker, defibrillator, cochlear implant or other implanted electronic medical device, who have a metal implant in the treatment area, or who have active skin infection, open wounds or recent sunburn in the area. Always inform our doctor of any medications, implants, prior surgery and medical history during consultation, so we can confirm whether this treatment is right for you.
